Denise Webb is an interior designer whose work reflects a rare synthesis of academic depth, global sensibility, and an instinctive feel for beauty. With an undergraduate degree in Art History and Mass Communication from New York University, she went on to study Interior Design at both the New York School of Interior Design and London's Inchbald School of Design, as well as the History of Decorative Arts at the Victoria and Albert Museum. This scholarly grounding informs her ability to blend historical reference with contemporary relevance, creating interiors that are at once intelligent, evocative, and enduring.
Bicultural by birth—Colombian mother, American father—and raised across multiple countries, Webb's worldview was shaped early on by a life steeped in art and travel. Her mother, an art and antiques dealer, introduced her to Europe's great museums and tucked-away antique shops, instilling a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, cultural heritage, and the timeless elegance of well-made objects. This formative exposure shaped the hallmarks of her style: a refusal to chase trends, a discerning eye for design that endures across eras, and a conviction that spaces should tell the story of their inhabitants.
Over the course of her 30-year career, Webb has designed both residential and commercial spaces, from intimate private homes to boutique hotels. Her interiors are deeply personal—rooted in the character and passions of her clients or, in commercial projects, the spirit of the brand. Longstanding client relationships and repeat commissions speak to the trust she inspires. For Webb, beauty must be lived in: comfort, flow, and intuitive usability are as vital as aesthetics. She believes that elegance should never come at the expense of ease.
Her signature lies in her masterful use of color, pattern, and texture, particularly through textiles and wallcoverings. Having represented fourteen prestigious international textile houses in Colombia—including Osborne & Little, Designers Guild, Colefax and Fowler, Hermès, and Dedar—Webb brings an unparalleled fluency in layering fabrics and finishes. This expertise allows her to create spaces that are visually rich, tactile, and full of depth—designs that stand the test of time, just as they are meant to be lived in and loved.
